Metereological Station
Weather stations are part of the environmental sensing and monitoring network in Porto municipality. These stations can measure air temperature, relative humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind speed and direction, global solar radiation, and the ultraviolet radiation index. Data for these parameters is sent every 5 minutes, regardless of the measurement frequency.
This and other technologies make it possible to produce urban space digitalization, with an infrastructure network of technologies that monitor environmental parameters such as noise, air quality, and weather observations. These sensors collect data in real-time, which is then processed and stored for analysis. The information collected is distributed in an open data format and can be accessed through the Meteorological Management and Maintenance Platform PMGM
